Remember a few years ago, there was talks of the Crue coming out with a movie about their tell all book "The Dirt." Well now it looks like they have found the perfect director....... Tommy Lee says a home for new songs could be the film adaptation of the Crue's 2002 memoir "The Dirt -- Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band," which is now on track with Rob Zombie as it's director. "That would be a cool place to release some new music," Lee notes. "It gives new reason for new music. People aren't really buying records these days, so it seems like a good place to maybe put something new from us."

Rob Zombie Says He is Not Directing Motley Crue Film
Yesterday (March 2), it was widely reported that Rob Zombie would be directing the film version of Motley Crue’s notorious memoir, The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band. Zombie now says those reports are untrue. “No, I’m not doing the Motley Crue movie,” Zombie told Undercover.fm, in a video interview set to be published next week. “I don’t know where that [rumor] came from.”
The misinformation apparently originated in an interview with Crue’s Tommy Lee, published yesterday on Billboard.com. Lee hinted that newly-written Motley Crue material might be incorporated into the bio-pic, which, Billboard stated, is “on track with Rob Zombie as its director.” Zombie, of course, has extensive movie-making experience, having directed such splatter films as House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and the forthcoming The Lords of Salem. Zombie is currently on tour in Australia, as part of the Soundwave Festival.

The World's Most Notorious Rock Band? Mere children compared to Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses ... hell even The Sex Pistols were more notorious that Motley Crud could ever hope to be! The World's Least Talented Rock Band maybe, but notorious? Not a cat in hell's chance. Besides why is it people believe what is written in The Dirt? Also why is it that every Nikki Sixx story comes straight from the memories of Joe Perry & Keith Richards?

In regards to the "...in the world..." statement, perhaps L.A. is considered to be a world unto itself? I'd buy that. It's not referred to "La La Land" for nothing! He, he, he...

Who's Motley Crue? ;D
Who's "Rob the Zombie"? Is that the fella with all the stage blood on his face that tries to scare people into thinking that his music is scary?...or good?.....Oooooooo......spooky hippie!!!
Can either one of these outfits lay any claim to fame of havin but 2 iota's of talent amongst their combined band members and challenge the likes of REAL musicians such as Pink Floyd, Queen, Deep Purple, RUSH, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen...just to name a few, in regards to raw talent?...
Is their "15 minutes" not up yet? Damn!
Thanks Kim
