There are many ways that we tend to enjoy the music that we love and listen to and that in itself enhances the way in which we actually get to appreciate our music. Which is your favourite method of getting your fix of the music that you love to listen to? Personaly, I have to be alone, with the music being pumped through a good set of headphones. In a situation where I'm not interupted, with nobody coming up behind, whilst they flitter around me with a "swiffer duster" asking me what time I'd like to have dinner. Thank gawd for weekends, because this is the only time it happens, when my better half is at work. Nothing worse than getting a wrinkled up nose and a set of questioning eyes when Kate Bush is belting out "The Dreaming" and I'm trying to get into the subtle nuances of her 5 octave vocal range during the process? ...only to get... a "tap tap tap" on the shoulder only to pull the cans off and hear... "What's that crap yer listening to" ? What's your method on enjoying something that can lift you higher than any cloud in the sky? Thanks Kim

Alone in the car, alone at home (those times are few and far between anymore), alone working at my parents' farm and occasionally at a social gathering.

I'm addicted to Youtube. I listen to music at work. The hens here run their yaps about everything except work. I can concentrate and tune out the hen-house while I design advertising and write headlines and ad copy with headphones on. I wish there was a 'high-fidelity' standard on youtube. Sometimes the recordings are terrific and other times, the sound seems like there's 50 lbs of jello inside the speakers. My car has an excellent sound system, but I only have music on occasionally while driving. I'm too old I suppose to feel comfortable blasting the tunes like I used to. However, these days, texting teens, meth-head-whackos, bounding deer, fawns and bucks plus a plethera of plain ol' dismal drivers are cause for high alert. I remove all possible distractions such as music and cellphones while I drive. I don't commute to work, so there's no time to listen anyways! When I'm with my girlfriend on the week-ends and stuff, she's always running her yap too. So I listen to her instead of music. It's been an effective policy so far! I've got an OLD SCHOOL MONDO stereo system with turn-table and everything at home. It's a 120 watt monster... 3 foot Merantz speakers ...5 pound magnets in the 12 inch woofers... It's a WAR-winner if there ever was one! That system is the preferred way to listen to all the good stuff.

I listen to music more often in the car....but I most enjoy it with the headphones on at home...either with the Ipod, the turntable or Itunes on my computer. Headphones are the best way to listen to music...
