Rod Stewart is currently preparing himself for two major projects this year: A tour with Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks and a new album with old pal Jeff Beck.
Stewart and Nicks will sing together during the shows on their upcoming tour. Nicks may be used to plenty of rehearsals, but not the more “ad hoc” Stewart, who told Rolling Stone, “In the Faces, we never rehearsed. I always like there to be the element of risk in any show. When things go wrong, I love it. We’ll have to meet in the middle.”
Stewart and Nicks’ Heart & Soul Tour begins March 20 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and wraps up on April 16 in Hollywood.
As for the Beck project, everything is ready to go. Stewart told The Telegraph: “He’s going up to record some tracks with his band in San Francisco and send them over to me, so we’re making progress.”
