Hoping to get Speedy out of hibernation on this one...haha
Who would be the bigger concert draw...
Led Zep without Plant and whoever they decided to go with?
-or-
KISS with it's original lineup.
I modified the title of the post...Doh!
Thanks Kim

As much as I dig Led Zep, I'll have to go with Kiss this time round....simply they are still in the spotlight:)

For year 1, I would say Led Zeppelin. After the initial novelty wears off, I think Kiss in any incarnation would outdraw an aging Led Zeppelin without Bonham and Plant.

I kind of agree Jesse!
The only thing is it's going to be really a tough call seeing that Kiss has been charging 25 - 85 bucks for tickets (the normal Hard Rock band price) but I guarantee Zep would charge in that 150 - 300 range.
I seen Kiss in 2009 in Cleveland & the upper level didn't sell (I had upper level seats & was moved to a lower level) so ticket sales had me wondering...This past year I seen a sold out show by them in Darien, NY & there had to be 30,000 people

*I think it depends on who Led Zeppelin's hypothetical new singer would be. *
I saw KISS last year to a near capacity crowd of about 18,000 during the biggest Christmas shopping time of the season.

Hmmm thats a tough one. I would have to go with Led Zeppelin just cause they haven't toured for the longest time. Kiss has done how many shows in the last 20 years? Alot!

For a nominal fee I would attend either concert. Let's say, give me 20 bucks to go see Led Zeppellin hobling around on walkers and crawing into the microphone. ...and for $10 I'll show up to the Kiss show. Gene has won me over with his TV show. So I'll cut 'em a break.

If I had a time machine and could see either Kiss in their prime or Zeppelin in their prime, I’d chose Zeppelin.

If I had a time machine, I too would opt out for the Zep gig hands down. For the most part, these days we could expect to see KISS in one formation or another, Zep on the other hand is pretty much a no-show. By the looks of things, Zeps day's are pretty much a done deal and their legacy is in the history books as one of rock's greatest acts. Thanks Kim

I still think that if the remaining members of Zep went out with a big named quality vocalist it still could be cool. I know it wouldn't really be Zep but it would be something. Apparently Page has a ton of materiel that he wants to record as Led Zeppelin. I think they should give it a shot. If it sucks life goes on but who knows it could rock.

Look at Foreigner: They fired an aging and ailing Lou Gramm and got someone in who sounds more like Lou Gramm than....uh....Lou Gramm. Plant can't sing the Zep stuff anymore, but if Page and Jones can find someone who can, I say go for it.

Yeah. Get that Kingdom Come singer from the 1980s to fill Plant's shoes.
