The older generation that grew up with the classic rock bands we all love?
Alot of these people actually prefer to go see a country band nowdays than a classic rock act. They all grew up loving classic rock and listening to it, but now have moved onto modern day country.
Why?

Cuz most modern Country is like 70's and 80's classic rock. More dynamic arrangements, better singing, better guitar solos and better songwriting than most of what you hear on top 40 radio. Also, in my area, if you want to hear more music and more variety, tune to Country radio. Top 40 is crap and the Classic Rock stations play the same songs that we've been hearing for 25+ years now. As someone who grew up on Country music, I really hate the bastardized version of it that we hear today. But as a fan of Classic Rock, I've noticed and appreciated that the next generations of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and Foreigner are all coming out of the Country genre.......unfortunately, the next generations of The Outfield, Madonna and Poison are also coming from Country music.
