Despite the fact that HMV Records announced on a recent in-store flyer that the new GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy", would be coming out on April 25, a publicist at Geffen Records (the group's record label) told Splat that he was pretty sure that was not going to happen. In addition, Lisa Reed, wife of GUNS N' ROSES keyboardist Dizzy Reed, reportedly stated that it was "unlikely" the album would make this release date.
"Chinese Democracy" will feature the band's first new music since "Oh My God", the group's contribution to the soundtrack to the 1999 movie "End of Days".
GUNS N' ROSES' last studio album was a covers CD, "The Spaghetti Incident?", which was released in 1993.

It's absolutely amazing that a "non band" such as G 'N' R have gotten so much press out of doing absolutely NOTHING..every month it seems some member of the "band" will say.."yeah it's coming out soon" then nothing...I might've cared about...8 years ago, but now frankly I couldn't care in the slightest.. it's also amazing that there actually IS so much interest, I seriously doubt this will EVER come out. Sanctuary better make ALOT of money off the publishing, cause they won't see squat in terms of new album sales. Look for GNR songs to be coming to a commercial near you in the not too distant future

This album has been talked about for so long...while G 'N' R hasn't put out a tune worth listening to since Use Your Illusion. Yeah, Appetite For Destruction was a killer album...no doubt. But, has there EVER been a band that has gotten so much mileage out of ONE good album? The release of Chi Dem postponed, again? What a shock.

I like 'em, but Boston comes to mind. Now as for the subject at hand: I really didn't know that "Chinese Democracy" was slated for an April release to begin with. News about that yet-to-be-released album has become like a car alarm to me: I pay no attention and just walk on by ;D.

I like 'em, but Boston comes to mind. THey had three good albums or at the very least two. (personally I like all 5 of them) They still continue to put out albums every six years or so good or not and still tour. Tom Scholz may be a little quircky but he is no where near Axel level of assholeness.

I personally think Boston has 4 good albums and have done nothing to compare Sholtz to Rose. But in reference to the question "Has there ever been a band that has gotten so much milage from one good album?" I think Boston fits the mold. Look at it this way: Would Boston be considered so great if that first album never existed? I think not.

THat's true but I don't think Boston gets as much credit/milage from their 1 album as G n R even though Boston's 1 album outsold G n R's one album and on the other hand Boston are also still somewhat active un-like Axel's band o' freaks whom are resting on the laurels of Axel when he was with the real G n R.

While I really only enjoy the first two Boston albums and parts of Walk On, you can't put Tom Scholtz in the sentence as Axl Rose...
