Mystery Train -UFO- www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHG_iDeWeug <----absolutely my fav. Don't Want to Face The Day -Great White Dancing In The Streets -Van Halen Over The Hills & Far Away -Gary Moore The Great White cover is great....forgot about that one. I thought they did a great job of "Substitute" as well. VH's version of "Dancing In The Streets" is great. My favorite version of that song The Gary Moore song is not a cover....he wrote that. He does use some traditional Irish melodies in it and the lyrical theme is fairly common in Irish folklore...but still Gary's lyrics.

I didn't know that. OK. I'll replace it with this lil' ditty: Rawhide -Dead Kennedys www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkcf-xXVXXY

I'm just gonna say Nazareth, 'cos nobody can cover songs like those guys. Every cover I've heard, I preferred over the original so far.

I'm just gonna say Nazareth, 'cos nobody can cover songs like those guys. Every cover I've heard, I preferred over the original so far. You know Funky...you're right! I may not have seen any reason why they covered "Tush"(I just didn't think it was necessary) That's like Alice Cooper covering "Start Me Up "live. Other than that, I love all their covers especially "Cocaine"! They really made that their own(cool & different version) Same with "Love Hurts", "I Want to Everything For You", & "Shapes of Things". I thought they did a great job on "Big Boy" too. That song was originally done by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band from an album called 'Fourplay'. Guitarist Zal Clemenson was in that band prior to joining Nazareth (He dressed as a mime in the Sensational Alex Harvey Band). That 'Fourplay' album was actually the S.A.H.B. w/out Alex Harvey (who was injured at the time of recording)
