What your reasons? NOTE: I know you don't need a reason, but play along anyway.

1. Keeps my ears "dust free"
2. Prevents spiders from making webs from my feet to the floor
3. Ensures that babes from the hood continually drop in for a visit when they hear the music playing.
4. ***Bonus Reason***.......keeps the folks that create the music to begin with, in a job.
5. ***Most important and often overlooked reason***...gives me a really great reason to come here to this great site and carry on with the rest of the really great people here.
Thanks Kim

1) It gives me energy - I'll never forget that first listen to Kiss Rock & Roll Over. I got such a rush that I felt like I could do anything. I played Ice Hockey for years & I would always throw on some hard rock before I left for my games.
2) It fills a void - Playing hockey was great, if I had a bad day at school or any other teen frustrations I would take it out by hammering some kid into the boards or dropping my gloves for a bit of old time hockey fighting & that filled that void. I was always kind of mellow & didn't get into much trouble but get me on the ice... As I got older & even to this day if I ever have one of those miserable days where I feel like I could just punch a hole in a wall or someone, all I have to do is crank out some music & I'm Fine.
3) Because Rock & Roll is fun!!!! Whether I'm cranking out tunes, or I'm at a concert, or even reading books or magazines on music...it's just fun & I enjoy it!

Oh man, these are some terrific responses!
Dr. Bunsen Honeydo says:
1) Because of my preditorial instincts, I'm attracted to repeating patterns.
2) Because of the social legacy in my DNA, thumping the skulls with femurs, chanting around the fire and connecting to my fellow hunters is way to strengthen/maintain social bonds.
3) Because it helps in dominating the local hunting grounds and warns other tribes to keep away.
I tend to lean towards Frank & Bucky's answers though.
