Not really new but I just began getting into her...Brijitte West. I listen to a weekly podcast called the "Rock & Roll Geek Show" & one week they played a track from her NY Loose band & I loved it. Her new album "Brijitte West & her Desperate Hopefuls" has it's moments but her stuff w/ NY Loose is much better. Snakes & Ladders has posted photos on his "Clap for the Ladies of Rock"

I'm getting into a lot of newer Country. It's much like the Rock music of today: Most of what you hear on the radio sucks, but if you do a little bit of searching, there is some REALLY great stuff out there. Shooter Jennings (son of Waylon) has been my newest favorite for some time now. Phil Vassar and Craig Morgan are coming up pretty close though (however, I can do without Morgan's cornball hits "International Harvester" and "Bonfire"). I saw both on DirectTV concert series and they were both quite impressive. Vassar and his band reminded me of when I saw Blackfoot as they played every song as if it was their first and last of the evening. Really tight band and interesting song arrangements.

Parlor Mob and Wolfmother. Really the only two new bands I have found that do something for me.

I've been diggin' Chickenfoot since last summer. Last Vegas is cool, but I still haven't bought the Cd (yet). What I've heard from Nikki Sixx release, I like a lot. I'll pick that one up soon enough... ...will be getting Murderdolls when I can find it.

I discovered Blackstone Cherry through Frank who I think heard about them from his son.

They're working on a new one so I hope they step it up a notch.

He recently turned me onto Drowning Pool & even took me to see em in concert. I came away very impressed.
