In response to Blue Cheer's earlier post regarding the perfect album...what do YOU consider to be YOUR Perfect Album?
On a scale of 10, which album did it for you? Even if there was a clunker included, which one would you have to give 10 out of 10 points for?
Consideration given to tracks that you may not have been kind to in the beginning, but have come to appreciate...that made it that much more worthy of a "10 score".
***Please bear with me...there is a friggn' cat pretty much sitting on my keyboard...and makes it difficult to put forth this thread..........geeeeeezus***
Anyway...
For me, I'd have to go with Deep Purple, Machine Head. Even tho..aww shit...I'll finish this later with my intended thoughts...gawdanged cats...gotta love em...but damn what a nuisance........
Thanks Kim

Ha.... I have been taking care of my friends cats because her house caught on fire a while back..I have the same problem with her cats.. House fires are not fun. Glad to hear that everyone came out unscathed...cats included. Yer a good man Ricky for caring for those felines! Funny as I finished this post last night, got up from the chair and the cat sat there, staring at the screen like she was waiting for a reply??? I'll have to ask the Pickle if cats are allowed to join the forum...she may have something to contribute... Please, no pussy jokes...hahaha. Speaking of cats, where's Bucky these days? He's got a couple of those furry little critters and could relate to my dilemma I'm sure... Thanks Kim

Grand Illusion for me is a 10.
No filler, just great from top to bottom and the order of the songs is even perfect.

Is this cat talk or rock forum? ?? lol I have a couple 10/10 albums. Pink Floyd's big 3 are 10s. Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and Animals. A couple of other Floyd Albums come close but not quite. Another 10/10 would be Roger Water's 'Amused To Death' an under rated album IMO with great guitar from Jeff Beck. The next three are phenomenal debut albums by the respective bands. Boston, Appetite For Destruction and Van Halen. I also have to ad Hysteria, Pyromania, and 5150.

^^^^^Only Joking Actually my perfect 10 album would be 'Some Girls' by the Rolling Stones. The album consists of various genres all sprinkled with the Flavor of the Rolling Stones style to make it what I consider the best album of all-time. Miss You (Disco beat, danceable tune but has enough Stones flavor to it which keeps it cool) When the Whip Comes Down (Straight Forward Rock w/ a hint of Punk) Imagination (Motown classic with a Stones feel to it) Some Girls (Kind of Pop with a Cool Blues Feel about it) Lies (Punk influenced) Faraway Eyes (Country with a twist of Humor) Respectable (Great rocking tune with a Punk influence;my favorite on the album) Before the Make Me Run (Great Rock tune) Beast of Burden (Pop tune but with a Stones feel) Shattered (My 2nd favorite tune off the album; a fantastic rock song with hints of Pop & Punk)

Foreigner-Foreigner Boston-Boston Who's Next-The Who II-Led Zeppelin The Wake Of Magellan-Savatage Medicine Man-Blackfoot Ted Nugent-Ted Nugent
I used to have more, but the older I get, the more nit-picky I get about music.

There are three albums that stand out in my mind as albums that just blew me away when I first heard them. Whenever I haven't listened to them in a while and I put them on I still get goose bumps.
Aerosmith - Rocks Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love Def Leppard - Pyromania
I could also throw in High and Dry by Def Leppard as well. I remember the first time I heard it. Man what a feeling that was.

KISS Alive! Not a bad song on the record and it shows the band at a time when they were hungry to succeed and were still concentrating on the music.

I'm not a Stones fan, but I like Some Girls the best of all from the Rolling Stones.
