Good question...what was great in 98'? Any help here would be greatly appreciated... I know that there must have been something coming through the pipes at this point, but damn it all if I can think of anything off the top of my head? Thanks Kim

Seeing the original Kiss on the 3D Psycho Circus Tour. I liked the Psycho Circus album which came out that year but it wasn't one of my favorites. However, I really loved the title track of the album & still do listen to it on a regular basis. I was heavy in a Kiss phase during 98 as they were everywhere... on Mad TV, Millenium, & Family Guy.
The only other things I can recall that I was into that year besides my usual stuff was the new Rolling Stones Live album 'No Security' which was pretty decent & Hole 'Celebrity Skin' which I thought was a great album

I had gotten back into Molly Hatchet at this time as they gave us the one-two punch of "Devil's Canyon" and "Silent Reign Of Heroes" in 1996 and 1998 respectively. Also Skynyrd was interesting again with the release of "Twenty" in 1997, however, with Rick Medlock and Hughie Thomasson in Skynyrd, that meant we got nothing from Blackfoot or the Outlaws during this time. Heart was on recording hiatus but I did catch them in concert that year. Accept had broken up, UDO was starting to get redundant, Metallica sucked, Megadeth was still ok, Metal Church had broken up, Charlie Daniels Band sucked, Marshall Tucker Band sucked, Helloween and Gamma Ray were starting to suck, Hank Jr wasn't doing anything, Waylon Jenning wasn't doing anything, I saw Garth Brooks that year, but his records were starting to suck. I remember being bored with music by the end of 1998. In the Spring of 1999 I bought my first Savatage album because I wanted to hear something different. I had never heard a note from them before. 1999 was a break out year for me musically as Savatage single-handedly restored my love of music. 1998 was another tweener year.

Monster Magnet saved the day with Power Trip... Everybody else was "unplugged" and sucked badly.
Black Sabbath reunited... great news, 'twas ho-hum though.

I sorta lost track of music around '97 when I took up golf! LOL. It became my addiction instead of buying music. I can't recall what I listened to, but I do know I was into these bands...
Kid Rock - Devil Without a Cause Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl Pearl Jam - Yield Jerry Cantrell - Boggy Depot
