Depending on whether or not you believe the New York Post, Paul McCartney earned $3.3 million for his 12 minute Super Bowl Halftime performance. The post quotes "Knowledgeable advertising and media sources" on the amount that translates to $278-thousand per minute. The Post also got this from an insider. "Yes, it's an awful lot of money. But for what Paul did, which was restore the dignity of the Super Bowl, it was well worth it.".

Big business is Big Business. I would imagine that McCartney could wipe his ass with that money and flush it down the toilet, though. 3.3 million to him is not what it would be to us.

Yeah. Gee wiz, even .03 would do. I mean really, could you imagine clearing $275 thousand per minute for a gig? Amazing!
