I use many forums but the old CRR forum was my favorite. It was the perfect balance...not to BIG but not DEAD either. Not too nice but not ridiculously mean. Everyone there was pretty knowledgeable as well. I still keep up with pooldude/Harry as I spend time on Sludge. However neither of us are overly involved there anymore. He still makes book long posts on anything he finds interesting. He still thinks he knows it all. Like him or hate him he is a fun guy to have on a forum. Jeb was a dumb ass. I think he is Bi-polar. His site is OK and I still go read an interview now and then, BUT it is BORING because he's a fanboy kissing the ass of everyone he interviews. Without the forum I might check it out once a month at most. It is successful and he is doing well so what do I know, but I don't ever think about him with any kind of nostalgia.

Memories??? I dont remeber nothing from last weekend so I dont have any memories just music. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the only forum where I post sometimes something. I dont even need to find other places. Facebook is great place to chat & share links. During olympics one friday I chatted all fri-sat night with Zeno´s vocalist Michael Flexig. We were both drinking & watching olympics.
I asked from Bobby Barth(Axe) about his music taste:
I have been listening to a lot of 40-50s blues, lots of slide. But mostly finishing the last two songs for a new solo record. Favorite guitarist: Leslie West and Eric Clapton when left to my own devices, my style lies somewhere inbetween the two. But I would be happy to be half the guitarist either one is. B

Good way to put it Rick... I'd have to say, for me anyway, you and Sandi pretty much made me feel so damned welcome by welcoming me to your site here many...many years ago. Jeb was a cool guy, but I have to say, in my opinion, the man lost the plot. Seriously, I think Jeb wanted it that way???. If not, do you for a minute that the guy would not have reached out to some of us? He didn't. Not counting myself, but if his new site was so important...can we not for a minute, accept the fact that Pete, Jesse, Yourself, Sandi, Speedy and a whole host of others would not be invited there to be part of his posse? In all fairness, PoolDude was and is a cool guy. Am I in touch with him?........nope!...Sure wish I was though...Here's a guy that not only knew his stuff...but never...NEVER made a perosn feel like an idiot when you asked a stupid question! ASK ME HOW I KNOW!!! Harry was there!...he played with the big boys...he knows his stuff!!!!!!! I think Harry is one of the best people that I've had the opportunity to meet here online!!! Sorry to say... but I miss Harry..."Pooldude" big time! The man never hurt anyone...yet always was there to give you the goods............... where is he now? ? Regardless...life goes on...I'm just glad to be here with the folks that have continued on and have made this site as great as it is. Yeah...Sandi's gone...so is Pooldude...so is Nightwatcher.................but does that mean that we need to sit back, rest on our laurels, and wait for the next best thing to come along? .......NO!!!!! We have it here!!!! We'll always have it here!!!!!!!!!!!...and I don't need any stinking smiley's to prove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Kim

I miss the "good" poold*de, not the one that was hell bent on framing Sandi and I for the CRR attacks that he and Wolf did to frame us. He also called me a racist over on the proboards forum when I never even talked about race anywhere on CRR - ever! But that is all water under the bridge, I just didn't think he would go that far, there is a dark side to him.

My introductions to rock forums was at CRR & I enjoyed it there for the 6 months I was there before it closed up(I know I was under a different name there but not sure what it was... it may have been Midnight Moses). I actually thought this was still that same forum when I got an e-mail to join.
I never had any problems with anyone here that I know of but I always looked at it like I love music(to the point of being pretty obsessed with it!) & that's why I'm here. I give Pickle all the credit in the world for keeping it together here & running a great forum as I'm sure he had & has to deal with some crazy shit at times that we don't even know about. :
Sandi was great & always helpful to me. The one I miss the most here is Nightwatcher as I really loved his views on music & he was also helpful behind the scenes as well.

I used to enjoy arguments between, Pooldude, Pickle, Jesse, Frank et al. Jammin' Jim lecturing me on hic hup why I needed to listen to Cream and Speedy chiding me for my over exuberance and exaggeration of Freddie Mercury's vocal talents. Also, two or three weekly best guitarist or best guitar solo thread/poll. Pooldude and Speedy always with great points on those. Heated political debates with Leppard and Rocknut. Eileen, Hifi and Sandi. The Minnesota man Husky who still posts here very occasionally. Was it Dreamtide or one of the other Europeans who would start the drunk threads? There was also that crazy Canadian dude Kimbaman who was so long winded... geesh I'm glad we have someone more levelheaded and straight to the point like Kim instead of that guy. ;D ...and of course all the regulars who've made it here and are still here. Good times! What happened to Axisboldaslove?

Good times! What happened to Axisboldaslove? Yeah, that "Kimbaman" dude was pretty much someone that would put a person to sleep......which reminds me of a story that I'd like to share with you........"It all started................."..........hahahahahahaha. Maybe, by shortening my name, I also shortened my willingness and my ability to take things to the extreme in terms of a response to a post?....... Or...maybe I just realized that nobody reads the damn shit that I do post in the first place??? Either way, looks like it turned out for the best. I have to admit, upon looking back at some of what I did post...it sure ended the thread...not because I was right or wrong...but simply because most people probably figured......what the fuck is this???...packed up and went home? Can't say as I blame em! Nobody has time for that stuff. hahaha. Oh yeah, and for what it's worth...it was our good friend Dreamtide that did the drunk posts!!! I miss those!!! Raimi!!!!!! Also, for what it's worth Pete...then, and especially these days...you don't get the kudos that you deserve here...no fault on anyone's behalf by any means...but I have to say...even back in the CRR days, you were a force and a voice to be reckoned with...even more these days in my opinion. You are like the stable, yet one constant here along with the others that help keep the flow going...always have been. Keep it going my friend! Guess I should stop now lest the old "Kimbaman...."ReKimbalacrat" rears his funky head...hahaha Thanks Kim

I DO seem to remember Pickle and I staying up late one night and posting about 500 NONSENSE posts to fuck with Jeb's stupid "Knights of the Roundtable" or whatever the hell it was idea. What a douche.

I swear Picklehead starts these threads every once in a while to get me going . I'll start with Sandi. I had/have no problems with her. I miss her perspective and her pointless adoration of Aerosmith. Her heart was in the right place. Jeb, I used to think was ok, but he turned into a dick. He got the CRR forum going, then got pissed when he couldn't get the members to join in all he lame-brained schemes for his website. Fuck him, I never gave him any ideas, why would I be obligated to support it? Pooldude? I can't believe it's been about 7 years since all the fallout of the CRR forum and we are still talking about this guy. He was an asshole from day 1. I knew it, I saw through him and I seemed to be the only one who wasn't surprised when he turned on Rick and Sandi. 7 years! I believe the man has been invited to be part of this forum several times. At least once or twice he DID show up here and promptly became the same douche bag I knew he was from the first time I read his posts. The guy has a unique perspective, I'll give him that and I always DID appreciate his perspective, BUT he had no time for anyone else's perspectives and felt HIS perspective made him right 100% of the time. I never worshiped the guy and found him to be dead wrong on at least 3 occasions. Some people think I don't like him because I was his whipping boy. Bullshit, I was his whipping boy because I saw through his act and he needed to discredit me any way he could. So hey, if some of you want to remember him with fondness, don't let me piss in your cornflakes, but it's been 7 years and he's probably gotten an invite here once a year. If he wanted to hang with you guys he would.

Jeezus I am getting old. No "worship" from me, Harry and I had our disputes as well. Funnily enough there are plenty of people who hate him Jesse....you are not alone. That's what made the guy entertaining to me. There was nothing funnier than some NEWB getting all hacked off when Harry lambasted them. Harry never let it go...even when he didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

I used to get bent out of shape when he would bring my age into the discussion, i.e. "You were in diapers when I was.......(insert name dropping anectdote here)". Now, I look back and realize that any quote like that was a tell-tale sign that I had won the argument.

I miss Sandi. Always adored the lady. It would be nice if she dropped in from time to time. Pooldude always had some great stories to tell that I enjoyed reading. As for Jeb, I don't recall much about him, other than he ran the CRR forum.
