What?...
You didn't think I'd provide you with the friggn'
answers now did you?...
You guys fill in the blanks!...hahahahahaha.
Seriously, here's a veteran group that has proved
the test of time.
Any takers?................ ;D
Here's a couple to get you started...
1. Can take a Joni Mitchell tune and turn it into a hit beyond
all recognition.
2. Fronted by a man with what is arguably the template that
AC/DC used to carry on it's success for 30+ years with not
only one, but two lead singers!..and still has the better pipes
of the two, to this day!!!!!!!!!!
3. Can bring down a world stage and blow away the headliners, yet have no qualms about playing 150 seat venues...even in their heyday!!!
4. Continue to play their no nonsense, straight ahead rock like no one else and refuse to give into the "flavour of the day" that some bands have been known to do.
5. Can still party it up and yet from all accounts do not appear to show up in the headlines suffering from substance abuse...and that includes "alcohol"...which was and perhaps may still be their
tonic of choice since the early 70's!!!
6. Older than dirt and yet, would most likely give The Rolling Stones a run for their money and beat them by a country mile!
7. Never gave up. Never said "we quit"...only to come back as the same or revamped version of the original line-up just because they felt a "farewell" tour was needed.
8. Unpretentious to the point of not having to plaster themselves
alllllll over the airwaves in order to get their "message" out.
9. Never sold out like some of their counterparts of the day and "Love Hurts" will stand the test of time compared to that sappy commercial "Aerosmith" tune.
10. How can you not love the album covers?...Can any bands these days compare to them?......nahhhh didn't think so. "Loud & Proud" is one that speaks volumes and the music contained within brings it all together..."Hair Of The Dog" is another...nuff said.
Remember those days guys?....when a cover proved itself and related to the music contained within...when the needle hit the vinyl?
Wow...sorry, I didn't mean to fill in the blanks...most of the points
are probably erroneous, so by all means...fix em up if you'd like.
Thanks
Kim
