AC/DC have returned to the top of the U.K. album chart with a little help from Iron Man. The group's "Iron Man 2" soundtrack has beaten Paul Weller to the top spot and the rockers are well on course to end Lady GaGa's run at the top of the European album charts. "Iron Man 2 - Official Soundtrack" is only AC/DC's third chart topper in the U.K. Weller's "Wake Up the Nation" debuted at two on the new countdown, with Meat Loaf's new album "Hang Cool Teddy Bear" entering the chart at four. Meanwhile, Diana Vickers' "Once" tops the new singles chart in the U.K., ahead of "OMG" by Usher. The sale of "Iron Man 2" soundtrack could boost the sale of the movie's tickets as well. Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Mickey Rourke as the hero and the villain respectively, the film is heading to theaters starting May 7. Track Listing: 1. Shoot to Thrill 2. Rock 'N' Roll Damnation 3. Guns for Hire 4. Cold Hearted Man 5. Back in Black 6. Thunderstruck 7. If You Want Blood (You've Got It) 8. Evil Walks 9. T.N.T. 10. Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be 11. Have a Drink on Me 12. The Razor's Edge 13. Let There Be Rock 14. War Machine 15. Highway to Hell

There's nothing new on the album but it's fun to see AC/DC continually kick ass. From what I've read it will chart pretty high in the U.S. as well.

I have to say, when I saw the trailer on tv a week or so ago, I was really impressed. There's just something about applying the right music to the right movie clip and Iron Man nailed it.
When I heard the opening chords to "Thunderstruck" and then watched the ensuing images, it almost gave me a chill. Fantastic!
It's funny how the power of music can put something visual into perspective like that?
I went on to check out the full 2 plus minute trailer with "Thunderstruck" on Youtube and it's even better!
Simply put, anyone not familiar with either Iron Man or AC/DC would certainly be smitten with the power of the video.
I loved the first movie and am looking forward to the 2nd. I think Mickey Rourke will make some semblance of a comeback with this one...simply due to it's "mainstream" audience, unlike "The Wrestler"...even though he did put on a helluva performance there!
You'll get kids now going..."whooooahh Mickey Rourke"!!! and then coming online to tell us all about "Barfly" and "9 1/2 Weeks" like it was 2000 years ago...ahahahahahahahaha.
Hmmm?...Marlon Brando revisited?
Thanks Kim
