It's a special day for one of our own here and from what I understand the man "Rush" has seen his fair share of great Rush concerts.
How about the rest of you folks? How many times have you had the great opportunity to catch these guys live...? And, which was your favourite one?
Unfortunatley, I have yet to have the chance to catch them in concert...but someday...who knows?
Thanks Kim

They have all been great of course, I have seen them 25 times since '81, which pales in comparison to some Rush fans...
Most memorable would be the 1st one of course, Moving Pictures tour in '81 with Max Webster opening.
Since then... I have a hard time judging which tour was better...they all have had their real good points, or very memorable moments...
The one I remember the most, outside of the 1st one, would be on the Presto tour...after seeing them in 2 locations in the US, they arrived in Montreal and it was a completely different atmosphere to the first two shows that we saw...Montreal and Quebec City have amazing crowds that really show their appreciation to the bands, and this was like a homecoming of sorts...for me it was anyway! It felt like they were conquering heros coming home! Of course, it was simply another date ont he tour...then Quebec City the following nght was another whole story again! Canada certainly loves this band!

Always a good band. The recent R-30 show comes to mind. It sent chills down my spine to hear some of those riffs in the R-30 Overture. That was worth the ticket alone IMO.
I wish they'd dust off more old stuff than they do.

For me, the first one I saw (Hold Your Fire) will always hold a special place in me heart. Having seen every tour since then (some more than once), I have to say R30 and Snakes and Arrows have been the best. I get a chill when I hear them play "Far Cry" live, and the BIG explosion happens. Pretty good stuff.
Vapor Trails was excellent as well, with the firepots going off during "One Little Victory". I was row six for that one, and the fire was hot!

I only seen Rush twice & the first time they were amazing on the Permanent Waves tour. This was one of my top 20 shows I've ever seen & with Max Webster opening made the show even better. I seen the Moving Pictures tour & wasn't to happy with the show.Red Barchetta seemed to go on forever & almost put me to sleep. FM opened that show
