Ah, bet you're all bumming right ...., thought the review was up! LOL! It's coming folks! Just wanted to share that Priest are seriously on their game, anyone that doubts them, should see them! Whitesnake ... Sad days for Coverdale indeed ... Very dependant on the crowd helping & extremely fortunate to have 4 very good backing vocalists ... I love Whitesnake, but it's been simply the D.C.P. (David Coverdale Project), pretty much since '84 until today ... I've followed these guys since I first saw them at Portsmouth's Guildhall in '79 on the Loverhunter tour! David 'Duck' Dowle had recorded the album, but when the tour came along, Ian Paice got onboard to join Coverdale, Jon Lord, Micky Moody & Bernie Marsden. What great days those were for Coverdale. The review will follow ...., soon! Cheers, Al www.myspace.com/cozyal_62

I would love to see Priest on their current tour & have heard they are incredible this time around.
Al, I have to agree on Whitesnake although I have no desire to see them live or have much respect for Coverdale after the Kiss fiasco in Toronto 1990 in which most of the crowd left after Kiss. During the WS set Coverdale tried badmouthing Kiss & almost got booed off the stage. Like you, I also became a fan of WS around '80 when they had a concert of WS & Ginger Baker's Airforce on the BBC Radio hour. I was psyched when I heard the line-up had 3 ex Purple members. Right after the show I bought 'Ready & Willing' & 'Live in the Heart of the City' & I still listen to theses albums alot.I liked Love Hunter','Slide it In',& I really enjoyed the S/T album also.

I saw the show in Cleveland and thought Whitesnake was OK but KILLED their momentum with 2 guitar solos and a drum solo??
PRIEST was great as usual. However British Steel is a SIMPLE album that any first year guitar player could pull off.
One funny thing....Tipton made a major screw up in Victim of Changes. KK and Ian looked at him like "what the Hell"...Scott Travis just played right through without a blink.

Just recently they were at Sweden rock and Joe Lynn Turner was there with Over The Rainbow his new Rainbow cover band w/ all ex- Rainbow guys and Ritchie's son, well he watched WSnake from side stage and said DC was singing to a tape because his voice is completely gone.

If that were true (& I don't believe it is) don't you think Coverdale's voice would sound better than it does if he were using a tape? I have also seen footage of the very show Turner was referring to & can state that what I saw looked & sounded totally live. Joe Lynn Turner should remember the saying about loose lips, as he himself was a victim of conjecture about his sexuality, his hair & all manner of things when he started out.

PRIEST was great as usual. However British Steel is a SIMPLE album that any first year guitar player could pull off. Simple? Okay maybe. But a classic album all the way! I just hope the "simple guitar player" has a drawer full of cutlery to pull off the same sound effects on Metal Gods along with the talent displayed throughout the same album in order to acquire the ambience that the ENTIRE album served up to the many that thought that this one of their better releases to date. Simple and consistent seems to be the order of the day with JP's release here in my opinion. Sometimes...just sometimes...less is more and I have to say, it works wonders on British Steel. Actually, Speedy, you give me hope...haha... If I can spend the next year learning how to play, it would give me great pleasure to be able to nail even one track from this album! Hey...then we could do some KISS tunes Speedy?...hahaha Just kiddin' Thanks Kim

I was surprised at Turner's view of Coverdale. While the man has lost a lot of his voice, the last time I saw Whitesnake (although it was about five years ago) they were great.

I was only stating that many have been saying how ON FIRE Priest are this TOUR...but the setlist is VERY SIMPLE for players of their caliber. It would be like Steve Vai playing Hang on Sloopy. British Steel is a GREAT album. Just not a difficult one. I prefer many PRIEST albums to that one.
