It's been awhile now since the demise of J.D. Fortune as singer for the group INXS and I was wondering if anyone had heard what the real reasons were behind the "parting of ways".
I've caught a few interviews on a couple of Canadian news channels but it appears that good ole J.D. just ain't willing to spill the beans. Haven't had the chance to hear what the bands take on the situation was?
The guy comes across like a lost soul, looking for the first hand up that is out there, willing to assist in picking himself up off of the floor???
I was wondering if he lapsed back into a cocaine addiction that he supposedly kicked a few years ago?
Any info on this situation?
Thanks Kim

I haven't heard anything but maybe he'll be finding work as an Elvis Impersonator once again. I didn't think he was going to last & after hearing 'Switch'(the album he was on)I knew the band were going nowhere. The single "Pretty Vegas" was a pretty cool song which did pretty well but the rest of the album sucked & there was no chance following that single with anything else off that album

It's the only track that I really like as well. My wife really liked a number of tunes from the release which is strange for her?...but yeah, I was wondering what was next...obviously not a helluva lot. One report said that they went thorugh a couple of frontliners, one mentioned being Terence Trent D'Arby. One other site mentions the fact that J.D. did in fact fall back into the cocaine habit and is why they pretty much 86'd him at the airport when they did. Funny though, I read a couple of offerings from Aussies on a blog that I checked out in that they kinda warmed up to J.D. and wondered why he wasn't offered some support considering what they went through with Hutch? Must have been an ordeal previously and figured it best to cut bait rather than fish? Thanks Kim

I don't think it's a coincidence that Pretty vegas was a song he wrote and performed on the selection show. I really think they took him because of that song.
