Back in the late 70's/early 80's local Rock Radio stations were blowing up Disco Records to go along with the ever popular Rock & Roll Slogan..."DISCO SUCKS!!!". Some rock bands decided to try adding a bit of the million dollar dance craze that was beginning to try & take control of the airwaves,to their new records. I'm not saying these are all full blown disco/dance tunes because some are pretty cool tunes & kept a bit of a rock edge to them. Anyway what's your favorite here & are there any others?? Or do you think they all suck

Kansas, but that's a bit unfair. I don't see "People Of The South Wind" as a "Dance/Disco" oriented song at all. Of those where I see your point, I WOULD HAVE voted for "I Was Made For Lovin' You" a song I never found nearly as offensive as most others seem to have.

I was debating on putting the Kansas one on there but when that came out I remember that was one of the tunes that was blown up on one of the Radio stations which blew up a disco/dance song every Friday back then. I know it doesn't have a disco beat but they did try to get this song over in the dance clubs when it first came out(at least in my area). Actually I really like the Monolith album especially "Stay Out of Trouble" I don't really dislike any of these tunes except for "Legs".My vote will be with "I Was Made for Loving You" with "Miss You" close behind."Shakedown Street" is one of my Fav Dead songs

Difficult choice here as there are a number of the tracks listed that I could have easily went with. I picked ELO simply because, although it was and most likely is considered a "disco" kind of tune, I still find an orchestral semblance to the tune that separates it from others. I realize that the album that it originated from contained a number of "disco" like tunes, but I'd have to say that Lynne and Co. was pretty much at the time carrying on with the music that they had been attuned to over the previous decade...pop and disco included. "Confusion" is a great track in my opinion...not to mention the old standby "Don't Bring Me Down"... Overall...a nice little release. Thanks Kim

I went with Kiss...
Don't agree with People Of The South Wind at all to be on this list.
The Stones have 2 on this list and I could hav voted for either of them. Lots of good candidates, but I think Kiss represented the question best.

I voted Emotional Rescue by The Stones, but I clicked on it before I saw The Babys - Isn't It Time, That should have gotten my vote...Oh well.

Yep, I agree here, so I picked other...Another One Bites the Dust, Queen. This has to be the biggest disco train riding song by a rock band.

Went with "Rock the Casbah" I don't see this song as being particularly disco either, although I guess it is danceable. I would consider it more ska oriented. I went with Rod Stewart...something about that song. "Heart of Glass" is great to.

I don't consider Legs or Isn't it time disco really either.

I'm going to go with the Babys but the Stones Emotional Rescue was a very close second.
