Back in the early 80's when I started buying NWOBHM records & Kerrang Magazine. I picked up 'Night of the Demon' by Demon after reading a huge article on Demon in Kerrang & really liked it. It's weird because when I think of NWOBHM I immediately think of Motorhead,Venom,Saxon,Diamond Head,Rogue Male,Manowar, & even though Demon seemed to be included in there, after getting that album I looked at them more of a progressive metal sound. The intro to the song Night of the Demon(which I can't remember the name) was pretty spooky but that title track was my favorite tune off the album.
Naturally, after all that I just wrote "Into the Nightmare" got my vote & now I'll have to try to dig out the vinyl!
I also like Orion by Tull & Big Jack is pretty cool as well

I used to be a huge Demon fan, wayyyyyy back in the early 80's. Considering the age of that recording [and their first 3 albums] the band's output has aged remarkably well. They remind me of a British version of Axe, same kind of vibe. Great album cover, too. They were ahead of their time, especially being English.
Into The Nightmare gets my vote.

Tull's "Orion" for me. A heads up in a precursory nature for Ian Anderson with the eventual release of The Broadsword and The Beast. Another gem from the Stormwatch release was "Kelpie" Anderson shines in both the vocal and flute departments on this one...what a great track!!! Great post by the way Dreamtide!!! Keep em coming! Thanks Kim
