Yeah...I remember a lot of these tunes...what a great year!

Indian Reservation stands out for me for reaasons that I won't
go into at this point, except to say that it was all good when
I first heard it and still love the song to this day because
of those special memories.

Folks...take a look at what a years worth of great music
should look like.

Isn't that something?
Anyone want to collect the classics off of the list and
stand them up against the Top 100 of 1994?

What About Three Dog Night:

In 1971, four of their tunes became singles, and all of them made the national Top 10: "Joy to the World," "Liar," "An Old Fashioned Love Song," and "Never Been to Spain." Cory recalled the biggest of that group, the best-selling single the band -- or ABC Records -- ever produced.

"'Joy to the World' -- now that was a four- to five-million seller," he said. "Hoyt Axton brought it into the studio one night; we were all there. He walked in wearing Captain America golf shoes, I remember that. They were red, white and blue; everything was red, white and blue in those days, with stars and things. And he took his shoes off, handed them to me and said, 'Hey Cory. You're Captain America. You should wear these now.' Hoyt's about 6'3," 240 in weight, and I thought, 'How am I going to wear these big shoes?' Then he said, 'Plus, there's a song I want you to hear.'

A lot of great songs here

When I'm walking through a store with my wife,it never fails,I always catch something out the corner of my eye & say "Wait a minute...". It usually has something to do with music & it's something the wife could care less about(like I might see a Redbook Magazine from a distance & notice in small print "Find out Gene Simmons favorite Mrs. Field's cookie").

Anyway, this list is no different. I see the name Betty Wright & see the song "Clean Up Woman", I think for a second, & then it hits me that back in '79 when Alice Cooper released "How You Gonna See Me Now" as a 45,the b-side was an unreleased song called "No Tricks" that that featured Betty Wright singing a duet with Alice.(The song is on the Cooper box set).
