Probably the greatest Bass player !!! I seen him once with Return to Forever & he was amazing plus I liked him in the New Barbarians with Keith Richards & Ronnie Wood. His solo albums are awesome I love Schooldays. His bass solos are bad ass. It doesn't matter if he's playing a bass guitar or upright bass. He plays the sh!t out of a bass. Imo he's the Miles Davis of bass players. The Stanley Clarke Trio is a must listen for any jazz fans.

I love Jazz, even named my cat after it...haha...
But damned if I can put my finger on the kind I like???
I think it's it's the older stuff? I like the "pip" pop" wooden Xylaphone, shuffling brush drum kinda lounge instrumental stuff...
Is there a name for that kind of jazz?
Something about the non-intrusive style of background, c*cktail driking, neon light style of droning music that does it to me. I believe it was prevalent in the early to mid 60's?
Any artists that fit that bill? I sure would like to get my hands on it.
Thanks Kim
