copied & pasted from melodicrock.com:
QUIET RIOT AND TRACII GUNS PART COMPANY:
Before a note was even recorded, guitarist Tracii Guns has left Quiet Riot. From the 'we all saw this coming' file comes this press release: "Although we all had high hopes and the best intentions for the success of our association, it became evident collective that the musical diversity of styles would not work to our mutual satisfaction. Rather than go into the recording studio unsure of the outcome, Quiet Riot and Tracii Guns have decided to amicably part company but remain friends and hold each other in the highest respect." Frankie Banali, Kevin DuBrow and Tracii Guns. Quiet Riot will still enter the studio in late January to record new songs for the next studio release, the first new material from the band since the release of Guilty Pleasures in 2001. Look for Quiet Riot on tour upon completion of the new recordings.

I heard about this a few days ago but had no idea what to say on it publicly, really.
The frustrating thing is when this guy is on he is so ON! IMO, and I’m talking artistically, not about the $$$ stuff, it’s less an issue of whether he should have stuck with L.A. Guns and more an issue of playing in the style he does best and why isn’t he/doesn’t he.
His “solo” album Killing Machine I thought was completely horrid. The Brides of Destruction material doesn’t do a thing for me. And he did a few clunker albums with LAG too when he was trying to make these odd little excursions into other musical styles, which really don’t suit him.
The other night I ran across on my laptop computer a couple of .mpeg (video) files he had posted for download from someplace he was at on the Internet at the time. It’s him with L.A. Guns performing at some MTV spring break thing in Daytona Beach I get the impression around the time of the Hollywood Vampires album. This was definitely an instance of him being ON. I got so lost in his playing in a good way. He’s so much better at a melodic rock style of playing (with feeling) than trying to be punk or whatever the heck else it is he thinks he wants to do or be. Like I said, strictly IMO, although I’ve seen others say the same thing.

I actually liked The Brides' debut album. However, I think it was a mistake to keep the unknown, young London LeGrand and part ways with John Corabi. The idea of a band featuring Nikki Sixx, Tracii Guns and John Corabi would be awesome! (imo)
I believe the Brides would have enjoyed more success had Corabi been on board as a songwriter, rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist.

Killing Machine is a terrible album, and the Brides second album is poor, although I like their debut.
Tracii should have stuck to what he knew best- writing straight up rock songs for LA Guns. Now, I hope he never goes back to LA Guns because Stacey Blades more than deserves his place in that band.
