Biff Malibu / Gluecifer

1. Since 1994 how have things changed for Gluecifer as a band?
We started in a burst of energy, as a counterforce against rigid, lifeless and boring music. I hope we still are that. During the ten years I guess we have become better players and songwriters, we have lost some members and gotten some new ones and we have definitely lost some illusions. We have also had more fun in ten years than most people have in a whole life.
2. What do you think of the current music scene in Norway?
I think there's a lot of good stuff going on in a lot of different genres. There's also plenty of shows and festivals and lots of people seem to take interest in real music.
3. What was your approch this time going into the studio to record
your new album "Automatic Thrill"?
Our goal was to make a cleancut, hard, rock album that featured Gluecifer at its very best. I hope we did that.
4. What songs would you say are your favorites on the new album?
I like all the songs, but Pigs is maybe the song that I enjoy the most.
5. When not singing for the band what are your favorite things to do?
Good meals, good company and good times
6. If you had to slap one of the members of the band right now who would it be?
LOL! I'd slap Danny's ass in a slightly suggestive manner.
7. What's the strangest thing that ever happened to you on stage?
A French guy once mistook my thigh for a ham and tried to take a big bite out of it while he was laughing hysterically.
8. In the future what to you hope to achieve as a band?
We hope that we can enlighten even more people with our special brand of rock.
9. What bands would you like to have on the road with you when Gluecifer tours Europe and Norway?
We have played with a lot of great bands during the years, right now I guess Jet from Australia would be cool.
10. Gluecifer and Hellacopters seem to have a bond together, what makes the two bands so tight?
We are friends since our first record. They are extremely easy people to hang out with.
11. Any chance of you coming to America in 2004 or 2005?
I really hope so. We had a great time when we were there in 2000.
12. How do you feel about bringing out a new live album in the future?
A little mixed. I have heard a Sh*tload of live albums that suck, so we'd have to make sure that an eventual Gluecifer version would be really good.
13. In the future do you think you will want to do a Gluecifer DVD?
We are working on one right now. Looks like we have most of the stuff shot, so I guess it will be edited and put together this summer.
14. What are some of your favorite movies?
Like everyone else I like the big gangster movies like Godfather, Once upon a time in America, Goodfellas etc. A swedish movie called "Songs from the second floor" really left an impression too.
15. What Gluecifer album would you say is your favorite out of them all?
Right now it is Automatic Thrill.
