ARCO Arena November 27th 2007.
Being a wholehearted fan of Van Halen, I had high expectations for this show on their reunion tour. Truly, I thought it'd never happen with David Lee Roth especially.
I wanted to go right off the bat when the tour was announced but I wouldn't pay more than $200 I decided. Plus, no-go if the reviews revealed B.S. such as in recent past performances. So I'm going to be honest and not pull any punches for you here now.
The show... COMPLETE AND TOTAL ANIHILATION OF THE NATION!
ASS KICKING OF ALL TIME!
The show starts with the guys coming out together from behind the drum kit. Dave greets the crowd.
The energetic mob gets off their seats and surges with screams and applause never to sit down again through the entire show. I've never seen anything like it. Sold out. No one sat the whole time. Eddie twangs out the riff to "Girl, You Really Got Me"... they rip into it. Dave uses the stage spryly and with style. The look on the faces of all the dudes in the band was gleeful smiles, save for Wolfgang. You could tell he was concentrating heavily on his job. He did smile though but just not the bubbly, giddy way that Dave & Eddie were. All performed professionally and with bombastic enthusiasm.
The best juggernaut rock of the eighties blasted out from a near-perfect sound system.

Eddie, the boys and classic rockness all night in your face! What can I say to convey the ENERGY, the camaraderie and virtuosity of last night? This show was huge! These dudes are practiced, have a plan and they're in primo condition to deliver. The high notes have been all worked out seamlessly and the voice harmonizations are top-drawer. Van Halen is in top form.
Our generation has nailed the zenith of powerful, hard rock and we own it, thanks to guys like Eddie. Be proud rockers! This was the best concert I've ever seen by any band. Period.
