Joe Perry's last solo album is miles ahead of anything Aerosmith have done for the last 25 years! I would agree with you IF he had a singer on the album. I don't mind a non-singer singing one or two songs, but a whole album of Joe Perry's voice? It's grating after awhile. BUT, the songs are really good, and the album would be a lot better if he had any halfway decent singer on it.

While Bruce Dickinson was away from Maiden, his solo albums were 10 times better than what Maiden was doing at the time.

Too generic. I just wish Tyler would take his head out his arse & record the album the die hards want, not the pop fans. Stick Tylers voice over the last Perry solo album & you have an absolute corker.

But I can't blame Tyler for Aerosmith's overall lameness of the last decade. I mean, they DID release Honking On Bobo, which isn't perfect but a damn sight better than what they've been doing. I'm sure it's record company pressure, as well as Tyler & Perry wanting to have "hits", that have given us lame Aerosmith.

Well in my opinion it is totally down to Tyler & John Kalodner why Aerosmith are so weak now. They need to beat the shit out of that weasel Kalodner, fire the outide writers, tie Tyler to a chair & force him to listen to 'Rocks' over & over again & lock themselves in a studio & just jam. Oh & quit charging $1000 for the 'honour' of meeting them It will never happen though. They sold out long ago.

From what I understand, Kalodner has retired from the music biz, although for how long is anyone's guess. I last saw Aerosmith in '99, and for $18 it was a good show. But I can't see them having gotten so much better in the past 8 years where I'd pay any more than that to see them .

Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever. I think Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are great, but Full Moon Fever is the best album that Tom Petty has recorded in my opinion.
