I've always been a Brian Johnson fan. I always have liked Bon but Brian a little better. I grew up with Back In Black, Razor's Edge etc. Lately I've been wavering and have been leaning towards Bon a little but for this poll I still voted for Brian because I still mostly listen to later AC/DC. I'm sure I'll be the only one. How come there's no choice in the poll for Dave Evans?

hojam, I THINK YOU'RE HAVING TOO MUCH FUN TODAY! ;D
Ok, this is a really tough question. I do think that Brian Johnson has done a great job in AC/DC, particularly on Back In Black and Razor's Edge, two post-Bon Scott albums that I really like.
But ... I'm not exactly sure why but I've got to vote for Bon Scott. I listen to the old albums and songs with Bon Scott and ... it's something ... I can't explain.

Went with Bon, but admit I really liked Brians sound on the first three releases he played on. After that I found him really getting weak, and now I wish he'd give it up, as it sounds SO forced it's hard to listen to.

Gotta go with Brian Johnson, simply for the reason that the albums with him sounded better. Whenever i put on a older acdc album it just sounds dated, probably due to the production i'm sure. The only older ACDC album in my opion that stands up to Brian Johnson era ADCD is LET THERE BE ROCK.

I seen both with AC/DC 3 times each & for me it's Bon Scott all the way.Bon had a great stage presence & great sense of humor.

Bon...although Brian was the perfect replacement. My favorite albums are with Bon but I also love 'Back In Black' and 'Flick Of The Switch'.

for me it's Bon Scott all the way.Bon had a great stage presence & great sense of humor. That pretty much sums it up for me, too. Brian Johnson is okay, but Bon Scott just had that charisma that very few people have. And, that wicked sense of humor was one of a kind. It's really a shame that he died so young. I think his best music was yet to come.

I agree with Bucky, HiFi, Rush and Scott as well. For me it was Bon Scott and like Scott mentioned, it makes a person wonder just what would have been?
Nothing against Brian. He had some big ole "rock & roll" shoes to fill and I honestly believe that he did and continues to do the job well.
How many other groups have we been witness to that have excelled as well as this group has?
Not many, if any, have had the talent and fortitude to continue on in the same manner and continue to shake the foundations of the rock world as well as this group has and continues to do, even after losing one of their key members?...especially at the break-point of their career?
Thanks Kim
