What are your thoughts on these guys? Seem to be a very polarizing band. I didn't particularly like them at first, but I'm coming around. "When The Curtain Falls" is a righteously good song! These kids can play! The singer is a bit of an acquired taste I guess. He does sound like Robert Plant, but only Plant's most annoying vocals. Maybe he'll get it together vocally on the next one. Overall, I think I want to like them more than I do.

Those guys are good and very talented.....but I think their schtick is sounding almost just like Zeppelin and they don't really admit to the worship. They acknowledge the influence but act like they are not directly ripping off the band. If I want to hear a band sound just like Led Zeppelin I will go straight to the source.
The singer sounds like Robert Plant meets Adam Sandler circa 1994....

I keep going back and forth with these guys. I heard a few more of their songs and kind of soured on them. Now today, I heard one that was pretty damn good again. A rip off, but a good ripoff!

I may have to check out their entire album. I don't foresee myself really buying into it....but you never know...

I may have to check out their entire album. I don't foresee myself really buying into it....but you never know... I'm still kinda in the camp of waiting for them to put it all together. I think they have talent and have liked a little more than half of what I've heard from them, but there's still nothing that I HAVE TO HAVE in my collection. Singer has two ways of singing: 1 is slightly annoying Robert Plant and the other is REALLY annoying wanna-be Robert Plant. I keep waiting for him to find his own voice and not be so annoyingly shrill.

That's the way I feel.....those dudes have a lot of talent....but they need to find their own voice. They are banking on sounding like Zeppelin.

I was watching some youtube clips of the Black Crowes from the early 1990's. I think the Black Crowes at that time sounded more like the Rolling Stones than Greta Van Fleet sounds like Zeppelin. Food for thought

ehh...the Black Crowes sounded more like The Faces to me, but I get what you are saying... I also think the Crowes had enough of their own sound. There was a little bit of glam rock thrown in. They also progressed and sounded more like themselves with each album. Chris Robinson never sounded that much like Rod Stewart or even remotely like Mick Jagger. He had his own voice. Jeff Cease and Marc Ford had their own guitar styles and were not Mick Taylor rip offs. Rich Robinson was influenced by Keith Richards for sure but I don't think he played in open G every song like Keith does. The singer in Greta Van Fleet tries to sound exactly like Plant and even has his stage moves down....the guitarist is the same way. He plays an SG but plays, sounds and moves just like Jimmy Page. I would actually say the London Quireboys were more of a direct ripoff of The Faces and Stones than the Crowes were.

It was more the videos I was watching than the first album or two where I really felt they sounded like the Rolling Stones. Although Chris Robinson's stage presence screamed Steven Tyler rather than Mick Jagger. Either way, Steven Wilson sucks!
