The last two really great albums I bought are from two projects from Candlemass bass player Leif Endling. The first is a band called Avatarium which features singer Jennie Ann-Smith on vocals and her husband Marcus Jidell on guitar. Great guitar player. It is their debut self titled album and they have released two more. It is doom metal with a melodic folk edge. A lot of nice acoustic work and great vocals from Smith
The other is a band called Doomsday Kingdom which also features Jidell on guitar. This record is also self titled and their sole release. Much like Avatarium with a male singer and less folk influence. Also a great album. I highly recommend both...

Judas Priest's "Firepower" was pretty good. Blackberry Smoke's "Find a Light" was very good as well. I bought Sunstorm "Edge Of Tomorrow" expecting to find my newest favorite band. Title song is great, the rest was kinda meh.

I bought Power Trip's last album called 'Nightmare Logic'. Great old school thrash from Dallas.TX. We actually played a festival here in Raleigh with them back in 2014. Great band and a throwback to great 80's thrash when it had a punk influence.
