I'm not looking for necessarily the best comedies. The movie "Major League" is one of my all-time favorite movies and, though it is considered a comedy, I don't think it would break my top 20 funniest movies. Some of my picks on this thread are going to be some pretty stupid movies, but ones that I did laugh my ass off at. In other words, I'm looking for FUNNY, but not necessarily GOOD.

No one's biting? Ok, here's my Top 10 Funniest Movies, though, I'm sure I forgot something.
10-Weekend At Bernie's. Yeah, it's pretty much the same joke over and over again (only the two protagonists and you, the viewer, realize that Bernie is dead) but it's a funny gag and never gets old IMO.....even 20+ years later.
9-Throw Mama From The Train. Probably funnier to me because "Mama" always reminded me of my one Grandmother!
8-Dumb And Dumber. Yeah, stupid movie, but I damn near pissed myself in the theater watching it.
7-Blazing Saddles. Tame by today's standards, but most of the jokes still hold up.
6-There's Something About Mary. Funny from begining ("How'd you get the beans above the frank?") to end ("What about Brett Farv-vra").
5-National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Yeah, I'll say it: This was funnier than the original "Vacation".
4-South Park: Bigger, Badder, Uncut. Just hysterical.
3-National Lampoons Dirty Movie. Not really a movie as much as an hour an a half of dirty jokes. Still, this isn't a list of best comedies, it's a list of funniest movies and this one WAS one of the funniest movies I've ever seen!
2-Jackass. Again, not much of a plot, just one stupid stunt after another, but I laugh my ass off every time I see it.
1-Airplane! Tit for tat funniest movie ever. One joke or gag after another, has never gotten old, just as funny today as when it first came out.

Well, if we're looking at "All Time" favs.......now that will be hard to nail down. I will keep in mind that "funny" in my mind, is not necessarily the best...or even good as Jesse has indicated. In no order...but here ya go... 1. Trains, Planes and Automobiles 2. Uncle Buck 3. The 40 Year Old Virgin 4. Buying The Cow 5. Hall Pass 6. The Heartbreak Kid 7. The Out Of Towners 8. Don't Drink The Water 9. The Party 10. The Thin Man I've mentioned a number of relatively newer releases in this post, simply put, because these are the ones that I recently recall that has made me laugh. There are however, so many of the older movies that I laughed at so hard at, that escape me at this point in my life. The "Thin Man" as an example, is a 1934 flik that I found hilarious...maybe because of it's simplicity, but focus on it's innocent take on humour the way it was intended to be back in the day. No wonder why I am a fan of the "Thin Man Series" I could also mention "It Happened One Night" with Clark Gable and his unorthodox approach to the lighter side of comedy at the time. There are many that I am overlooking at this point...but there's 10 off the top. Thanks Kim

40 Year Old Virgin is great.....I there are so many other comedies that could have made my list. Hard to narrow it down to just 10.
