Thoughts on the new Van Halen now that it's been out awhile and has had a chance to sink in.

Good strong album. But I havent listened to it a long time. Just isnt one one those albums that begs me to play it. In fact its fell well out of my top ten for the year.

I have to say I am still cool on it. Couple of borderline half decent songs, but I still can see why they were throw aways back in the day.
Maybe if they could have recreated some of that memorable VH harmony, but without Mike and Eddie almost totally unable to sing, it doesn't work for me.

Before this past spring, I had already stopped listening to it. I doubt I'll ever pick it back up and listen to it, back to front.

I think it's pretty good. I don't play the whole album much but 'Blood and Fire' and 'Stay Frosty' still make my playlists.

I still like the album a great deal. Its a strong record and I still think its the best thing they have done since '1984'. I didn't think they had it in them....but they pulled it off. I might listen to it today....
