I just have one sentence to write, believe it or not! You can't physically defeat people with nothing to loose, you just can't.

Kim do know any thing about N.A.T.O. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NatoThe U.S. & Canada are part of N.A.T.O. or North Atlantic Treaty Organization. When any member of N.A.T.O. is attacked member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party. The U.S. was attacked by Al-Qaeda who at the time was mostly based & operated out of Afghanistan. So basically the Taliban was the ruling party in Afghanistan an by them giving refuge to an supporting Al-Qaeda we the U.S. were attacked by Afghanistan which was a external party. By Canada signing the N.A.T.O. treaty Canada pledged to defend N.A.T.O. members. That is why Canada and other members of N.A.T.O. went to war with Afghanistan to defend & support the U.S. because we were attacked by a external party that being Afghanistan. Do you think the U.S. would not defended Canada if you were attacked? Yes we would defend Canada & any member of N.A.T.O. if they were attacked by a external party.
Apparently I don't...You are right!
You are, in my humble oppinion, most likely, the smartest and most informed person that I have had the opportunity to bear witness to in my years here on this board.
Not once, have I had anyone such as you come along and set me straight, especially by providing links such as the NATO link that you were so eloquently able to provide. What a great finale! It all makes sense to me now!!!
I can't thank you enough Don. You are the greatest. You should really consider a career in politics or at least as a term as a scholar of sorts for a notable educational institution.
You would really do quite well.
Thanks by all means... Kim

My whole family is big into politics. I know my politics. But I'm not a political whiz. I didn't mean to sound like a know it all. If that is how I came across I'm sorry. I don't feel like we should be in Iraq because neither the U.S. nor any NATO member was attacked by Iraq. The U.S. went to war with Iraq because Bush an his puppet masters had a hard for that war before 911. I'm glad Bush wont be in office for much longer. He's a idiot who did allot more than right for my country.

He's a idiot who did allot more than right for my country. No need for apologies Donny. It's a great and wonderful thing to be informed such as you are for a younger fella. Keep up the good work on staying informed...a lot of the youth these days don't have half the knowledge that you seem to have in regards to politics. Politics is a dangerous force. Proof of that comes in to play with the folks that get elected...for they hold the balance of life and death in their hands over the rest of us once elected...and therefore it's all important that each and every one of us living in a democratic society gets out and votes in the most informed manner that we can...to preserve that right and also trust in the ones that we do vote into office to do what's right. The world is a constantly changing entity, and although there may be checks and balances in place that are regarded as safety valves to keep the peace, preserve mankind and the progression of what we know as the human race, sometimes, it's important to sit back and evaluate just what it is that we stand for at times...in terms of our own survival overall. i.e, sometimes the "checks and balances" may need to be revisited from time to time. It will be interesting to witness the new administration and it's policy's and how it will affect us and everyone else on the world stage in the next few years. I'd like to remain positive in the sense that perhaps we can move the "doomsday" clock back, even if for a minute or two...allowing us the time to ponder our future and fate as a life form on this planet. I have a good feeling about the direction the USA will now take. Call me crazy...but the future does look a lot brighter from where I sit...for many reasons that I won't go into at this point. Working against each other, regardless of our beliefs will do nothing but tear us apart and will end in certain destruction at this point...simply because we have the ability to do so. Working together, which is certainly a more difficult task, and in my opinion will be our only salvation and will be the only way to put aside our fears and hatred towards others that want to eliminate us and the way of life that we have come to embrace for the past few hundred years. In closing, I also respect your remarks on the man currently in power and for what it's worth, I won't be taking any further verbal shots at the man. I've said my piece and because he comes from the same planet as I do, I'll cut him the slack that he deserves. He had the time to prove himself. Whether he failed or not in his personal mission remains to be seen and history will be the deciding factor on that topic I would think? Sadly, the "shoe throwing" incident will most likely be one of the closing scenes of his tenure as CIC...and luckily for him and his family, this was the worst thing that could have happened to him. Thanks Kim

I'm actually impressed with many of Obama's cabinet picks so far. ...but congress still scares me. He will have a strong no ass kissing cabinet. Hopefully they'll get confirmed.
